Is it okay to put elastic color ties on these braces? Most say that’s not allowed. Which is right?

I used to not brush my teeth that well. But i have realised that i need to take better care of my teeth so for the last 2 months i have been trying to take realy good care of my teeth, ive been brushing them realy well twice a day, i clean my tongue, gums & cheeks realy well & i floss before i go to bed. It smells in the morning and feels gross and I always eat tic tacs & mentos but about half an hour after ive finished it i have bad breath again. Why? Does anyone know how to get rid of it!? Its embarrasing!

I need braces but i cant decide wether to get clear or metal ones.

I would want to get metal because you can eat more things & my friend had them and she looked awsome with them. (She has the emo/scene look so i think they looked mad on her)

But then again i would want to get clear because im worried that ill look to different & when people have metal braces i always find myself looking at their mouth more than their eyes and i dont want that happening to me…

What do you think?

I don’t know the difference between the trays and the sticky things. I don’t know. ha. I need it to last pretty long too.

Do you think that I will need to get headgear? I am just really worried.

I am thinking of becoming a dentist. I will start my freshman year in CSU Fullerton in Fall 2009. Is biological science the right major for me to become a dentist? The other bio/health/science related majors I can choose right now are: Biochemistry, chemistry, and health science. There is no pre-dental major. I am currently signing up for New Student Orientation and was wondering if i should change my major.

I heard it hurts a lot…but I’ve also heard it’s not that bad at all….If you’ve had one, could you rate the pain from 1 – 10, 10 being the worst? Thanks.
