When your too Poor to see the Dentist
No one should have to be their own dentist or be without any dental care plan . I’m 52 years old and this is my story. Back in 2007 I had a badly abcessed tooth. I had no insurance and no job. I was also living in pain. To the point that I started having headaches because the infection had already spread to my right eye. My right side of my face was already swollen. So I finally decided it was time to call the dentist and make that appointment.
They told me I had to have $240.00 up front before they would see me. It was only to get my tooth removed. The appointment wasn’t for another five days and I didn’t know if I could have tolerated the pain that long. Also I didn’t have the money and didn’t now anyone who would lend me that kind of money on such short notice. So I sat there and cried in pain. I decided I was talented enough to pull my own tooth. Well you’ve heard of the tie a string to the door knob trick! Yes it had gotten that bad. I almost passed out after the first pull because of the incredible pain on the side of my face. So I cried some more. I took time for a moment of silent prayer. Finally the Tooth was being eased out. By then it easily came out with no dental pain at all. After a consultation with the Dentist I realized I had been in potentially fatal situation.
Fortunately I am here today to share my testimonial, so others don’t go down the same road. A job like this should be left to professionals. Now I have my AmeriDentalPlan and I can actually see a real pro now. Thank you, Ameriplan.
