Need Emergency Dental Care?
Looking for Emergency Dental Help?
Unless you have Insurance at the time of the emergency, it is usually not an option. Today many Dentists accept discount dental cards and are even open for dental emergency patients. Normally with a Discounted Dental Plan you are able to get in to see the Dentist within 24 hours in cases od dental emergencies.
How Dental Insurance works:
Discount Plans has been around for a long time, but many consumers do not understand the difference between discounted plans and insurance. With insurance the patient pays a monthly premium, typically $50 – $150 or more per month. When ever the insured patient visits the Dentist, the insuring company pays a portion of the bill, usually with a direct payment to the treating office. Many dental insurance programs have deductibles of $100 or more. After the deductible is paid, dental insurance companies usually pay 50-80% on preventative and restorative dentistry.
With insurance there are usually exemptions, where certain types of costly procedures are no covered, such as braces or cosmetic procedures. On specific dental procedures the may be waiting periods. (eg dental crowns, roort canals). Also with Dental Insurance there are annual limits on your services. Without limits, exclusions and caps on the dental services the Dental Insurance Company would quickly go out of buisness.
A Better Option:
One of the options to consumers is the Discount Plan. Certain companies are now jumping on board the dental discount wagon by offer these types of plans too. These discount plans cost less for the dental patient. The Discount Organization contracts with local Dentists to provide their services at a discounted rate.
What’s in it for a Dentist to give a discount for their services? The Dentist is able to provide discounts, in return for prompt payment at the time of service. At the Dental Office the discount dental plan member typically pays on the spot unless other arrangements are mad ahead of time. There is no paperwork. The Dentist saves on advetising because the Dental Discount Plan Company sends patients to the Dental Office.
Dentists are willing to provide discounts from 25-80% to dental plan members. The amount depends on the procedure. Bottom line with these plans, the Dentist and member both win.
Options for Emergency Dental Care Service:
1. Investigate Dental Discount Coverage with no waiting period.
2. FInd a Dentist in your area able to accomadate dental emergencies.
3. Dental emergencies can usually be treted on Saturday if the dental office is open.
